WWE wants your feedback on potential DVD releases

As long as you say that you’ve bought WWE DVDs in the last year, you can take this survey about what you want to see released by WWE Home Video in the near future.

In addition to answering a question that allows you to give your own idea for a specific DVD release, you can indicate your interest level in:

  • In Your House events
  • Goldberg
  • Best of Clash of the Champions
  • Land of the Giants (Best of the Biggest Superstars in WWE History)
  • Brock Lesnar
  • Best of War Games
  • John Morrison
  • Craziest Moments in WWE History
  • Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat
  • Randy Orton
  • Chris Jericho
  • Sting
  • Best of RAW Season 1
  • Best of the Elimination Chamber
  • CM Punk

If you don’t vote favorably for the Wargames set (By the way, what did they mean by submit or surrender?  They kinda mean the same thing), then there is something very wrong with you.

In Your House events
Goldberg
Best of Clash of the Champions
Land of the Giants (Best of the Biggest Superstars in WWE History)
Brock Lesnar
Best of War Games
John Morrison
Craziest Moments in WWE History

Best of RAW Season 1

War Games would be great! Also, I’ve been dying for a Steamboat set.

I’d gotten this email from the ‘E about a week ago… I posted my thoughts over yonder http://aceofspadescomics.blogspot.com/2009/07/wrestling-wwe-dvd-survey-thoughts.html

I think I wrote in a “Superstars of the 70s” collection, that would include Harley Race, Bob Backlund, the Briscoes, etc. Hell, they’ve got the tapes, use ’em.

What are the chances of this happening? Slim to none? At some point they need to produce some DVD’s like this, just match dumps, available for hardcores to buy online. I can’t see this in stores, but as a mail order? Why not?

Ah, you mean like Warner Bros. is doing the DVD-by-demand thing now, where they offer…I believe it’s a hundred different movies a month that are only interesting to people that loved old movies, and you order through a website at $20 a piece. You’ve got to think this could be a division of the media dept., 2 or 3 guys looking through old film saying, “Yeah, this would be good for a Race DVD,” or “Let’s offer a Bad News Brown house show one-disc for $10.”

      • Ty Lannister Says:

Why not? Hire a couple of video guys, maybe $100,000 a year and have them put some stuff together. Surely it would pay for itself and some of their work would end up on the mainstream discs too. It’s brilliant. They should contract Ring Psych to do it!
